Andrea Michelle's haunting melodies and uncanny vocal harmonies, acoustic guitar based writing, coupled with emotive drum and instrument arrangements by Bo Wayne, give Andrea Speaks its unique sound. Award winning, original, with commercial appeal.
When singer/songwriter Andrea Michelle got a call one day, out of the blue, that the manager she entrusted her life’s work to had been allegedly murdered … a lot happened. They found out the hard way that he wasn’t the man they thought he was. They got burned – bad.
Stirred by that experience and with an uncanny ability to double track herself with harmony or lead vocals, her voice has an addicting quality.
Devil’s Throat the album, is about this story of deceit and death and the band’s struggle to overcome what had appeared to bring life and music to a sudden stop. In a way, it is kind of a musical rebirth, as this album release reflects the determination of artists who were too compelled to quit.
The music is hypnotically melodic with at times thundering rhythms - blending familiar influences with a new edge, into almost a new genre of commercial music. One of Andrea Speaks’ listeners expressed it best in a private note when they said, “I’m lucky to be witnessing this”.
